This privacy policy governs the use of ‘Koala Rush’, a game created by Plant-Based Games (The Netherlands, KVK: 80605109) (defined in this document as ‘We’ or ‘Our’).
This privacy policy defines how we collect, use and disclose both personal information and non-personal information we gather about you in our games or websites. We value your comments, reviews, suggestions and feedback. By playing our games or using our websites, you acknowledge and consent to the terms of this privacy policy.

Children’s Privacy
Although we acknowledge that our game or website might unintentionally appeal to children, Koala Rush (and website) are not aimed at children under 13. We limit our data collection and we do not collect children’s data specifically.

The data we collect can be personal to you or non-personal, and sometimes data that doesn’t appear to be personal can be come personal if certain other facts are learned.

The basis for collecting this data is ‘legitimate interest’ under GDPR (Global Data Protection Regulation) and “to support internal operations of the game” under COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). Any data collected is done solely for internal uses that are reasonable and directly related to your relationship with US, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Data collected automatically
Certain data is collected automatically and stored solely on the user’s phone, we do not have access to this data. This includes:
Data about your game progress;
Data about your device, such as device name and operating system, browser type and language;
Data about your use of the ‘Service’ (meaning: gameplay data that we use for data saving/loading game files.
Personal and Sensitive Data
We do not collect any personal information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual when using Koala Rush.
We will never attempt to gather nor disclose with third-parties any sensitive data surrounding racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation or health-related data.
Data you provide us
Nicknames
In order to play Koala Rush, players pick a nickname at the start of the game. This information may get displayed on the leaderboards for others to see. We are not liable if anyone enters any personal or sensitive information here.
Newsletter Opt-in
Plant-Based Games may retain your submitted email address when you sign up for our newsletter indefinitely, unless you unsubscribe to our mailing list and use the tools available via Mailchimp (a third-party partner that collects and compiles the data for us so that we may undertake mail outs to large numbers of people) as described in their privacy policy here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. When submitting your information, you have agreed to voluntarily join our mailing list in purpose of keeping informed about Koala Rush’s game development, future updates and any Plant-Based Games related content. Your information will not be used for any third-party marketing purposes. Joining the newsletter is not a prerequisite to playing the games provided to you by Plant-Based Games and your submitted mail address is not mandated by any statutory or contractual requirement. We do not use automated decision-making in our use of your personal data.
Plant-Based Games will not use your mail address for any purpose other than to inform you about our games and you may, at any time:
Request access to, correct or erase your submitted personal data.
Object to how we use such information.
File a complaint with an appropriate data protection authority regarding the use of such information.
Plant-Based Games is situated in The Netherlands and your data may be collected and processed here. The rules that protect your personal data may differ if you live outside of the European Union. By signing up to our newsletter, you agree that any data you provide will be subject to European law until deleted.
Player Feedback
In the case of any direct contact with us whether by email or regular post your personal information may be stored along with a copy of the correspondence. This information is used to respond to comments, feedback and provide player support.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We will not willingly sell or give your information to anyone, except if lawfully subpoenaed to produce such information and then only after offering you a reasonable chance to challenge such subpoena if allowed by law.
Security of your Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We do not guarantee website links and the policies of third party websites and access to those sites is at your own risk.
Interest based advertising
You can opt-out of interest-based advertising on mobile applications by checking the privacy settings of your Android or iOS device and selecting “limit ad tracking” (Apple iOS) or “opt-out of interest based ads” (Android).
